PARTNERS

LHDCorp partners with existing landlords to establish accessible housing within the landlord's current housing inventory. LHDC will assist landlords with locating funding to pay for the accessible modifications, getting up to speeD on current IRS tax benefits resulting from efforts to make a structure accessible for persons with disabilities.
 

We work side by side with landlords to create accessible housing opportunities. We have the people and resources to make accessibility a reality: partnerships with contractors and architects, suppliers of accessible fixtures, and equipment to make this an easy process. Use your own contacts or let us help you. Our only goal is to create housing opportunities for persons with disabilities; we're happy to work with you to discover the best way to get there.
 

In some instances, we may have funds available to assist with the cost of retrofitting for accessibility. The only requirement is to allow us to refer future tenants who will benefit from the accessible features of the unit(s).

Its a win-win situation; participating landlords gain accessible units that lend themselves to long term occupancy and high demand due to the shortage of accessible housing, and people with disabilities who otherwise might end up in nursing homes or struggling with otherwise segregated or unfit living conditions get the chance to truly live independently.
